comment What is the real capacity of a network device (ethtool - MiB or MB?)
so if I want to know the percentage of the adpater's utilization, should I take ifconfig response, multiply is by 1000^2 or 1024^2? And divide it by ethtool response, multiply by 1000^2 or 1024^2?

comment Where can I find an initial/default computer name per OS?
1. I don't need the random part - just the base of the name 2. I don't care about options where the DHCP server chooses the name - just about stand alone computers.

comment Where can I find an initial/default computer name per OS?
This is exactly why I am looking for a list of these names - I know how to see the computer name but I don't want to go through all possible os versions ...

Thank you very very much! I already "solved" it with print screens which is ugly. Now I tried your solution and it worked !
