comment How do I run multiple commands on one line in Powershell?
To be nerdy... It's very easy to search for it. It's just quite hard to get a relevant set of hits. :) (+1 for great question)

comment Can't connect/pair/discover BT keyboard to computer
Ah, that explains why my computer doesn't find the keyboard (since it's not BT). However, the other keyboard I mentioned is exactly the same model. I got two such keyboards because I wanted to have the same L&F at the office and at home. Any hints based on that?

@techie007 Post them as a reply anyway, please. I don't like leaving unanswered questions. :)

comment How can I set my own, custom keys for shortcuts in Visio 2013?
@techie007 Not sure if I got you correctly. I'm not trying to set hot keys in Windows nor can I install some third party utility. I'm looking strictly to change the keys in Visio 2013 so that I can e.g. tell a non-technical person over the phone where to click and how to do that. Is that doable?! If you know that it isn't (or even if you're uncertain), feel welcome to post comments as a reply so I can accept that as an answer.

comment FireBug works but doesn't produce results in the console
When I press the key combination, I get the default developer tool and a bunch of warnings (no errors, though). If they're related to FireBug or not I can't tell. The page I'm opening is google.com so it shouldn't be wrong. On the other hand, one shouldn't drive over the speed limit and we know how that works, haha.

comment How to suppress Output window from appearing while publishing?
@FrankThomas I get the notification in three ways. First of all in the status bar, then again in the Web Publish Activity window and also, by the web page being loaded automatically upon successful process completion. I have Output docked at the moment but it steals the focus automatically. It's annoying and it seems to be a bug in VS as it happens only when publishing and not when merely building. Thanks for the hint, though.

By the way - summarize that as a reply so I can check it as an answer, please.

comment FireBug works but doesn't produce results in the console
Oh, that was cool. Totally confusing and waaay to scary for me to play with (I'm a super hero and my super power is to screw up stuff, haha). But still - cool. I could compare the two configs, of course. And how about deleting (not just deactivating) plugins?

comment FireBug works but doesn't produce results in the console
@fflorent In any case, however, when I use the new profile, the problem perishes, so it must be some stupid setting that some stupid addin did and refuses to take back upon deactivation. Thanks for the help and put your comment (and possibly an elaboration) as a reply so I can check it as the correct answer, please. And by the way - is there a way to remove addins? Or are we supposed to simply deactivate and, when things get to tough, install a new profile?!

I've tested to deactivate everything but to no avail. At the moment, the only addin I use (besides FireBug) is the TabMix, which is a life saver. I fear that if I install the new profile, all my settings, bookmarks etc. will be gone. What do you think?

I have Outlook installed. 2013 to be exact. Are you saying it's got to be 2010?!

comment How do I grant permissions to an installer (no “run as admin” mode)?
It worked after two additional operations (not sure if both are required, though, because I got annoyed and changed both things at once). See my edit to your reply. And huge thanks!

comment How to open a directory in Windows 8 using Win+f?
@techie007 Nothing. I get no matches at all. Already after Win+f and kind:folder, there are no hits. We're talking about the big, ugly screen in Win8 you get when you press Win+f, not Win+e, right?

@techie007 The question is tagged windows-8. There was no screen for file search like that in Win7.

@zdan I get to see the files in the said directory but not the directory itself. Only files are listed, not a single folder.

Oh, right. A bit to many tab steps to get there but when the muscle memory gets used to a series of key presses, that might be something. Thanks!

And how do I click that shortcut without a mouse? I was hoping for a generic Win + C (but instead of charms folding out, I'd fold out the other panes). Doable?

Nothing, actually. I don't have that key in the registry at all. I'm assuming that HKCR means HKEY_Classes_Root. In fact, I made a search for mailto and there's only one reference, in PROTOCOL_Handler_\mailto with CLSID set to a guid. What does it tell us?
