Living a happy life under org-mode, emacs.

comment How to alias keybindings in emacs?
Err, I don't see how that's adressing my question… That's merely binding a key locally in the org-mode-map, right? I'd like to bind a one key to "multiple keypresses". (For instance, there is no place for f1 in you example.)

comment How do I make ctrl-arrow keys move forward/backward a word at a time in Cygwin bash?
That's when an additional layer is changing the transmitted keys (but it doesn't answer the question asked).

How do you distinguish from Alt and Meta, what physical keys would they be? Also I think you mean C-h c as C-h C-c is describe-copying here. (What's Hyper? too.)

comment Can I create directories that don't exist while creating a new file in emacs?
Wonderful solution. I love how improving small things can open a whole new world of hints to give emacs to do stuff better (yeah, I didn't know about defadvice before).

I don't get it : why press M-m at some point, and C-x C-f at all if that doesn't create everything automagically ? If to be prompted for the directory to create, M-! mkdir or dired will do a fair job too…

@DaveParillo: Of course there is, M-! for instance.

Ain't that many keys, especially if you didn't just used one ? Switching is C-x b <find one> RET, right ?
