comment Simple built-in way to encrypt and decrypt a file on a Mac via command-line?
@codecompleting Or specify -pass pass:MYSECRETPASSWORD, although the password is then of course not hidden from ps, etc.

Needless use of -a will needlessly bloat the output file.

Why is 0\n necessary? Or is it specific to your company?

comment Import bookmarks to firefox from txt file
Is there an authoritative document describing the said HTML file syntax? Or would I have to reverse-engineer it?

comment How do you prevent the dock from switching monitors in OSX Mavericks?
This would've actually worked if the dock could be placed in-between the two monitors at the edge of either one. But it doesn't let you dock there. Instead it is docked on the far extreme left or right where I don't want it.

This doesn't really work. The dock still moves freely. I tested with Google Chrome and VirtualBox maximized.

@Lewis Commons, as Chuck has also commented, the question was about preventing the dock from moving. Your answer is for a different question. Please read the question.

comment Why doesn't ln -s prompt that it fails when creating a symlink to an existing symlinked directory?
As I have answered in the cross-post, specifying -ns makes ln fail as desired. -v is irrelevant to the outcome.

QuickBench isn't exactly free, is it? Not sure if it's worth the expensive, since XBench is free.

@max, just system-config-network also seems to open this interface.

comment How can I embed programming source code in Powerpoint slide and keep code highlighting?
I don't see such a Paste Options icon. I don't see a button to give me these options. I'm using PowerPoint:mac 2011. I think I have seen it in Windows versions, however.
