comment How do I get the size of a Linux or Mac OS X directory from the command-line?
If you want to do the same on Ubuntu: find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 stat -c%s | awk '{b+=$1} END {print b}'

comment why does Windows 7 x64 Explorer.exe suddenly gobble up all available RAM and slow my system to a crawl?
Correct locations, 1: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.dotx\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1} 2: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.docx\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C0‌4FC2D6C1}

Linux Mint rocks, if you find it worth it don't forget to give a +1 to the answer.
