Thank you for that answer. The approach with hashsums and a list is the way to go. With some Python. I didn't know whether there is some well known out-of-the box trick with some awk/sed/cp/md5sum magic :) Sometimes there is. And usually I'm the last person who knows.

Thanks for these hints. I updated my question with the suggested outputs. That vibr0 was on the system after the kvm-qemu install, so I suppose it was meant to be used with virt-manager/virtIO. It is a bridge interface - at least.

I have no idea... practically each and every piece of documentation ended where people poped up a VNC connection. I installed the driver and now I expect it works... however I only get a VNC with this virt-manager thingy

/usr/share/autossh/examples/rscreen does that. with -t this is broken and connot work.

changed server in tsocks.conf to 127.0.0.1 and did -g -D 5000 and tsocks transgui. No effect. Still no connection.
