@Ramhound - ok, thank you - as long as shared folders work, that's good enough. Please write your comments as an answer so I can accept it.

@Ramhound - please write it as an answer - I'll accept it. Now I have installed Additions. The copy/paste of text works now (bidirectionally). I am also able to access Shared folders - so the file transfer issue is resolved. However 1. DragnDrop doesn't work - may be I am doing something wrong. 2. I am not able to copy a file/dir (right click explorer Ctrl-C) & Paste the file/dir into the virtual machine - this works on VMWare Workstation. I can post these as a sep question - once I accept your answer here.

@tgkprog - where do you want to import it?

@tgkprog It was an internal application I had - it acts as a cert manager. When you start it up, it registers the certs with IE and deregisters when you shut down the application.

I did not make the snapshots of the slow booting VMs. May be it was already there when I copied it from a different VM. Can I delete all the snapshots? Also the other VMs which are cloned from the slow booting one don't have the snapshot - does cloning remove snapshots?

@derty The image which boots up the slowest has 4 snapshots. The others have only 1. Is this the cause - what can I do to fixit? About your other point, the slowness also happens when it starts up first.

@Stephane - I use VMWare's Suspend Feature. All these have the same amount of RAM.
