comment Where did the “recently added” go in Google Chrome's bookmarks manager?
Exactly. It has gone AWOL since, somewhere between 27 and 32, I guess.

I have 32.0.1700.72 m. I don't remember which was the last one that did have the "recently added", because I haven't checked the "recently added" in a while. It may have been several iterations back that did have it.

comment How do you make the computer locked when the monitor is turned off but power not off in Windows Vista?
That's even better. I don't have to put the computer to sleep (which wreaks havoc with internet connection, which is a well-known issue) or wait for the screen saver to kick in. Thanks!

@ Daniel, you were absolutely right. The screensaver didn't have the lock on.

I have the screensaver. But the funny thing is, when the monitor goes off based on the power management setting, the screensaver stops, which means the password protection under screensaver is also removed.

Clearing the cookies doesn't not auto-login me. I still have to login after clearing cookies. But at least I can get in to Gmail and Google search after clearing cookies. Without clearing them, Chrome says it can't find the pages!

comment Is there a third-party solution to sync google music with a desktop folder?
Well. What you call "resync" is not really re-"sync". It's re-"uploading". If you re-read the article you hyperlinked, it will be clear. By "sync", I mean automatic file update that doesn't involve the user's conscious or active uploading. To be exact, by "sync", it also has to be by-directional, like Dropbox or Google Drive. But here, I don't need bi-directional. A uni-directional automatic update from my local folder to Google Music would suffice.

Yes, disabling Javascript resulted in the desired content not loading up at all. How do you find "the source HTML markup" that I can look at?

comment Why is Google Drive invisible in command prompt mode?
If you read my question carefully, I said I have no problem moving into the Google Drive with the cd command. The question is why the directory is not visible in its parent directory when one can still move into it from the parent directory with the CD command.

I don't see the google drive in Vista or XP either.. Are you sure it's visible? You can certainly move into the folder by "CD Google Drive", but the directory "Google Drive" is nowhere to be seen in its immediate parent directory. Thus my question.

comment Is there easy way to get notified on change in dynamic IP address without running a local server?
Ok, let me re-phrase the question then. I'm not going to run a server nor am I going to get a domain name. Will a Dyn DNS still work on my machine to notify me of a change in the dynamic IP?

comment Is there a firefox add-on/chrome extension that will enlarge Gmail compose area?
Thanks for the answer. While checking out the userstyle for Firefox, I discovered that resizing the compose box in Gmail is now native to Firefox. You don't need any third-party add-on. You still need third-party extension for Chrome though to be able to resize the gmail compose box.

comment How to show current google account when sending email from third-party website?
OS: Windows 7; My default email client is the browser. When I invoke a "send email" function (by clicking on a mailto: link for example), the gmail compose window pops up in the browser.

I'll also try to find other examples, but any webpage with an "mailto:" hyperlink would bring about the same situation, I believe.

comment How to show current google account when sending email from third-party website?
Well, there are many examples, but let me start with a bookmarklet that I have on all my browser: javascript:location.href='mailto:?SUBJECT='+document.title+'&BODY='+escape(locat‌ion.href); With this bookmarklet, you can send the link to the current webpage to anybody you want.

comment How do you capture (or clip) a webpage that has protection?
I want to be able to archive the entire web page. Yes, I can save the complete webpage, but from that point, you can't do anything useful. For example, you still can't print the page (can you print the page at the link that I provided above?), nor can you clip it with popular bookmark tools (like Readability or Pocket). You are back to square one even after saving the page.
