Thanks for your response. So it is possible to get the paths to these recent folders back as a list? The last example you gave works but,as you say, only returns the basenames.

Waiting to see if that space clears up. Restarted a few times and toggled Time Machine off and on, it's still reporting 16.8 MB free space :/ Here's a what I get if I run diskutil list in terminal if it's any help: cl.ly/image/1q2Q0a2J3N1O/content

Right, the next error I have is this: .dotfiles/bash/bash_prompt:47: = not found. Seems to be a few small differences between zsh and bash like this, would be nice if they were documented in one place somewhere?
