comment Why is chkdsk using 90% of my RAM?
Great tip! My dev machine has 48GB for a reason and I noticed a big drop in performance with new processes (and as a developer, new processes are started very, very often).due to running chkdsk in the background, consuming almost all of it. This saved the day ;)

comment two csrss.exe files, how to remove one of them
Note that in the case of csrss.exe, even Process Explorer is limited on what it shows, in this case it will not show the path, nor the company name fields, they are blank. On the properties window it will only show very limited information. Whether you run Process Explorer as admin or not won't matter here.

Good suggestion! Didn't know AHK could do that. Finally a solution that works always (albeit not a fix for MS Word's buggy behavior, it's good enough for me).

comment How can I copy the link in Google without openning the link and the “Google stuff” in the URL?
A lot of trouble to go through for just getting a target link. Several automated solutions exist: makeuseof.com/tag/copy-crapfree-urls-googles-search-results

Interesting. In my case, parts of Aero functionality were still on (like the alt-tab and alt-esc areo graphics, the taskbar mouse-over popups), only the full-window dragging was off. Also, I would assume it to only switch on when Webex is used with screen-sharing. Similarly, Teamviewer, by default, switches off Aero.

@DavidPostill: I don't think it is a duplicate. After stepping away from my computer for a couple of hours, the full-window dragging feature magically returned. Looks to me like a strange glitch in Windows GUI behavior.

comment How can I restart my taskbar?
Note that if you kill the process (or processes, sometimes on Windows multiple explorer.exe processes are active), and then fire up explorer.exe again, the icons in the systray are not always restored properly. If you do the Ctrl+Shift+rightclick trick, the explorer will clean out icon caches before it shuts down and restore them properly when restarted.
