comment Can Windows 7 burn iso images to DVD's natively?
@NamG.VU you absolutely can create bootable media, if the ISO is a bootable image. I just did it using the Xubuntu 12.10 disc image.

comment i7 920 CPU doesn't come with thermal paste for the cooler?
@Boon yes there are definitely negative effects if both are present. Heat transfer goes way down.

+1 this is awesome. Just to make it clear though, running this will remove your ability to roll back the service pack (not that you should be doing that...).

comment Help getting my memory running at it's rated speed
General overclocking advice for you: change one thing at a time, and make small changes. Also, you may have to relax your memory timings in order to get to 1600. The faster clock, the higher the timings have to be. The modules you have are advertised at 9-9-9-24, so make sure you don't have timings set any lower than that to start with.

comment Skype audio always goes 'robotic' for the same user?
So it's different machines, different internet connections, different mics, and different models of sound card? Your friend is probably just a robot.

comment How does Windows know whether it has internet access or if a Wi-Fi connection requires in-browser authentication?
Newer (I think Gingerbread and newer...) versions of Android do this as well... they will show the wifi icon in white if they can connect to the network, and it will turn green if it can hit some google-hosted page. The idea behind it is the same.
