comment Font in Word 2010 table changes from default font
All tables have a default font. If you select the table and, as Steve says, go to Design under Table Tools, the table design used by your table will be highlighted. Right click on the highlighted table design, select Modify Table Style. You can change the default font and font size in the dialog box that opens.

comment Normal.dotm Management Best Practice in Corporate Environments where standard look must be enforced
I'm not sure how you're creating your templates. In the process I use, I don't change the normal.dotm file. I save the doc with all the special styles as a .dotx file. That is the template that is attached to the new doc that opens as Document1, when you double click on the .dotx file. Do you protect the styles in your template with the Protect Document option?

comment Wordpad wont let me type a letter between cursor after back spacing
I'm not exactly sure what's happening, but here's a work around. Just position the cursor just before the last letter you've typed and then type it again and whatever else you need to type. When you're done, delete the extra letter. Hope that helps. Better yet, hope Word has found its mind again, so you don't lose yours. Take care.

comment setting specific 'window' constraints into a word document for images
You can draw a text box and drag and drop an image into it. The image will automatically scale to the box, but it won't crop the image. The down side is that when you delete the image the text box reverts to the smallest possible dimensions.

comment Numbering in MS word turned into black boxes
When you say the numbering is messed up, are you talking about the numbers of numbered lists, heading numbers, or page numbers? Is the black box that appears a font? Select it and see what it is. If it isn't a font issue and Word's built-in styles are Ok with the move from 2013 to 2010 and 2007, then the custom style might be the candidate. Have a look at what happens to the style definition on 2010 and 2007 and when its opened again in 2013.

comment Numbering in MS word turned into black boxes
Sounds like a font issue. What font were you using and does the person you sent the document to have those fonts?

If what you want is a 4-page column, best to take the most direct approach and make a 4-page column at the outset.
