comment How to delete the “_files” folder?
Touché. Didn't know this was so easy. Well, Windows users learn every day :D

But then again, isn't it simpler to just symlink to /bin?

Why does it depend? The behavior seems identical...

comment BitLocker: Encrypt all hard drives
I still trust it, but using obsolete software is not essentially a good idea as at some point, whenever that will is, it WILL not be usable anymore.

Which means encrypting them separately and the (D:) automatically unlocks after the (C:) is unlocked. Thank you for this!

comment Recommended way of installing PHP 5.4
I did this (because I can't upgrade to Wheezy right now) and now, everytime I call a page on my web site, I retrieve a file called "download" with the PHP source code. What should I do?

I'm sorry for that. It rather seems like I messed something up here. With Wheezy installed, PHP 5.4 works. Thank you!

That's very weird. I downloaded and installed this image: cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/7.0.0/amd64/iso-cd/… but lsb_release -a shows that Debian 6.0.6 is installed. How could this happen?

Changing $host to 127.0.0.1 really helped. Seems to be a DNS problem. Thank you!

comment XAMPP: Requests take far longer when connecting to a MySQL database
I uploaded the relevant code. Also I'd like to note, that the connection alone is the part that takes all the time. Even when no queries are fired, it takes like a second longer.

Using HeidiSQL, a query takes almost zero time. phpMyAdmin is also fast. I'll post the connection code.

comment Open File - Security Warning when downloading files with Chrome
Okay, so chrome doesn't have this option. But now I know that there is an unlock button and I don't have to execute the file to unlock it. Thanks for that :)

comment Installing Windows from USB: “Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk”
The computer is about 5 years old. The mainboard is the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe and the only bootable item shown up matching an USB stick is called "Removable". So I guess "Removable" is not an USB stick in this manner?
