Thanks, I've updated the answer to include a note about Firefox's events. It seems it may only be possible to break on, for example, all mouseover events on the page and not just for a specific element.

Some filemanagers for Linux have a setting for using copy + delete (cp+rm) instead of move (mv), just remember this may temporarily use a lot of space.

There may still be issues with software which generates a signature based on the hardware it was originally installed on (Windows itself does this, at least for OEM licenses), and an attempt is made to run the program on a different set of hardware.
