comment How to save the password for a mapped network drive?
I initially messed up the credentials I stored with /savecred (used domain instead of machine name). To open a small GUI for adding/deleting passwords, run rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr from a command line. cmdkey is also available. See this thread.

comment Windows: How to add batch-script action to Right Click menu
Here's an answer that talks about using the right-click Send To with files: stackoverflow.com/a/6854941/550712. That answer references this Microsoft article: support.microsoft.com/kb/310270.

comment Windows: How to add batch-script action to Right Click menu
It's helpful to see the step-by-step screen shots in that article. However I think the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell referenced there is for when you click on a blank area, not on a folder. The answer by @RobertSchmidt uses HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell which is when you click on a folder (directory). See this MSDN article.

comment How to fix broken taskbar icons in Windows 7
An anonymous user edited my answer to add "This works for Win 8.1 as well, just checked." Doesn't that kind of update belong in a comment? I have not checked it so I don't feel comfortable signing my name to it.

comment Is there a way to use Volume Shadow Copy on Windows 8?
Interesting, that's there in Windows 8 but gone in 8.1. You can still use wbadmin at the command line in 8.1, and you can schedule a task to run it, e.g. pureinfotech.com/2013/10/24/….
