I don't think performance will be an issue for current games with a single card configuration. From what I remember forum surfing a while back, I think you'll lose a couple or three fps due to the older CPU and a similar amount due to running the card at PCI-E 2.0 speed.

@ItsGreg At lower resolutions, GPUs can be CPU limited. It's quite possible your CPU is actually being utilized, too.

@DavidSchwartz Possibly, depending on the number of hard drives and fans. The CPU TDP is 95w. The GPU is supposedly 60, but tom's hardware measured 68 at full load.
