There are a lot of variables. The technical specs for the drive will describe the operating environment. In an off the shelf configuration, somebody has theoretically verified the temps will be fine in a standard office setting. If you value your data, though, it's probably not a bad idea to double check the temps yourself. Especially if you build or upgrade your own systems.
