comment Why is only 127.0.0.1 considered as a loopback when anything from 127.0.0.0/8 is routed to localhost?
I know about special addreses (multicast, private/public network etc.) I am curious why is as loopback "always" mentioned 127.0.0.1 and not whole 127.0.0.0/8

comment Accessing web service on routed (without NAT) network
When I have AP in router mode it allows me to use e.g. traffic shaping and another cool features. Switching it to bridge mode I lost all of those. But this is probably one possible option for now

Thank you for reply. I am not sure if I have WPA2 only (I have Personal and Enterprise) also I did not find nowhere the AES-CCMP. Can you please also explain following: if WEP and WPA can be set together? TKIP vs AES vs TKIP + AES? Does WPA uses some unified key length? Thank you very much

Yes this the cause. I have found in registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions\SessionName\PublicKeyFile‌ which points to my private key

"Why would you have to look at the 127.20.7.1 block when you just said that PC1 is in the 192.168.1.1/24 range." Because I do not know in which range PC1 is. It might be 127.20.7.1 or 192.168.1.1/24 or anything other.

comment How to determine remote PC network address?
Lets say that I have router (PC1) which I used a long time ago and had there a pretty nice configuration (which does not send any ARP or another discoveries, just silently listens for incoming connections) which I don't want to lose (I cannot reset it). Now I would like to connect to router and read this configuration but unfortunately I forgot the IP range which I set. Is this OK as example?

I know, but this is not the question. I have no access to PC1.

When it is useful to redirect input, it can open it as I've shown, why redirect?

comment shell standard streams redirection order OR 2>&1 1>/dev/null vs 1>/dev/null 2>&1
Thank you, nice info graphic. Just two clarifications: 1. ls > /dev/null is it the same as ls 1> /dev/null 2. When are < used? I have tried ls -l >file &1<2 and it is not the same as ls >file 2>&1. Is cat file equivalent to cat <file are there any examples where it is not equivalent? thank you

Don't you know of some minimal login server? I think it only purpose should be somehow to redirect traffic to bash which will handle all stuff.
