Recent college IT grad with a concentration in Management & Information Systems. I do coding for fun on the side. I also specialize in Cisco networking at the CCNP level.

Could be a problem with your machine being slow... not sure how to specifically diagnose however :/

As a heads up, FreeBSD sucks and I've decided not to use it anymore.

Gave a concise answer to my question. In the end, I've decided to ditch FreeBSD. After years of using Debian for my home servers, I tried FreeBSD because I thought it would help me learn something new... all I've learned is where to buy the cheapest tylenol for the headaches

comment Windows 8 PID 4 taking away port 80
I had this same problem on windows 7. It was because one of the MS SQL Server processes was consuming port 80. The process was also identified by "System". In my case, I had to disable the web management interface for SQL Server. Not sure if this is at all related though. But something on your system wants to be a web server. Try shutting down services one by one until port 80 opens up.

Sounds reasonable, but I need some help with the commands to do so on FreeBSD... I never really learned how to properly manage packages.
