How hard is it to spoof a MAC address, since you'd have to get one that's on the whitelist. I know anything that is transmitted can be picked up manually, but isn't that a lot of work?

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by "rename files with their calculated checksums"? You want to rename them to the value of their checksums or you want to change their name based on the value of the sums?
