I'm currently working on fast routines for the multiplication of arbitrary long integers. This sounds like it's been done a lot of times before, but I find the maths behind it very interesting and it allows me to study that and certain aspects of the implementation in great detail. Stimulating.

comment ALT+TAB doesn't work properly in Windows 8.1
I have a Lenovo T440s with Win8.1U1x64. I found that the problem only happens when it is on power supply. Pull out the cable and Alt-TAB no longer disappears after some seconds. What's more: it seems to be gone for a while after you plug in the power again... strange.

"Users from the Internet" is anyone connected to the Internet and to check that, I connect to Uni and test from there. The "normal" user would just connect from his workplace on the Internet (no Uni).

There are no other services, but I can connect from the outside, so port forwarding must be working OK.

It sure seems to be so. But if it's a botnet: why are the sending only some 10 bytes payload? If the want to DDoS me, I'd send a full payload of 1500 bytes.

I used tcpdump to capture the incoming packets from the network card.
