comment Yosemite Dark Menu Reset
I would look at possibly corrupt preferences for that preferences pane alone.

comment Why /Applications Folder not opening in Finder but works in Terminal?
I've seen the Finder grow so laggy - sometimes a forced restart (of Finder) helps.

comment How to add a script that runs from the OS X menubar
Yeah, I know, and that is cool. I should have added, the main virtue of the system menu is, it's free.

comment “Safari Web Content” process uses loads of memory even with a single tab open
Look on StackExchange for many discussions of this problem. What it boils down to is waiting for an Apple memory-management fix, and using one of the memory freer little menubar apps, or the purge command if preferred. The Click-To-Flash Safari extension can help, but after a lot of reading, people just manually release inactive RAM as needed. Turning off Safari's cache and DNS prefetching have helped some people.

You can, in fact, show the system-wide script menu in the menubar (and add and subtract to its contents as desired) by opening AppleScript Editor and in the first pane of its Preferences, check "Show Script Menu in Menubar."

comment Max OSX: I have a windows that opens and then quickly closes before I can see it. How can I catch it?
I've seen this happen with firewall queries that shouldn't disappear but do.

comment early 2013 iMac internet troubles
First step would be to "neutralize" all settings (temporarily.) Turn off Firewall, for example. Cofirm that iMac can connect with Ethernet. Then add the details requested above this could be an easy fix, it's just narrowing it down.
