comment Downloading a website that uses JS authentication recursively
If it's simple HTTP authentication, just pass the username and password on the command line. I've done so successfully countless times. You don't need to set up cookies.

In my previous Mac OS X experience, doing stuff in Finder let me get around similar permissions issues. Can you run "su -" and get a root shell?

comment How can I go about triple-booting with Windows 98 on my machine?
Windows 98 is as much an OS as Windows 8 or Windows 2012. Or linux, or Mac OS X, or OS/2. If you seriously don't think it is, you don't know your computer history.

comment Ubuntu 14.04 : new Graphic card slower boot
For that card? It would appear so. Different cards may have different load times / timeout values. But it is normal for a boot to take longer if you've added new hardware.

comment CentOS: View all users in a specific group
Updating /etc/group is one way of recording new group memberships. I'm not really sure if this is supposed to happen automatically or not. I'd need to know a lot more about your environment before I could really have any idea where to look next.

comment Error while executing bash command stored in string
If you don't want to accept the answer, you don't have to. I don't recommend using eval as it's far to susceptible to injection attacks. Ultimately, the answer is "You're using the quoting wrong, fix it." How you fix it is up to you and not part of my answer.

comment Error while executing bash command stored in string
In the man page I'm looking at, the filter rule is surrounded by single quotes. This avoids interpolation of the string within the quotes, as opposed to double-quotes which allows interpolation.

comment Use Excel to sort and filter data
How are you going to examine a month of data (which I'm assuming is set to 4 weeks for simplicity) if you only have one week's worth of data? Or am I missing something?

comment How to login on my corporate network using a personal device
Please don't do this. Unless you're part of a penetration test team and you have advance approval from IT (which seems unlikely).
