comment utorrent connectivity: Router drops packets
Usually they are, but if they fail, they fail together. Its really weird, because I have this problems sometimes, sometime not, for a few years now, but I've never been able to reproduce this behavior, even across machines, networks, installations, etc. It might have something to do with the way uTorrent handles Magnet-Links in combination with UDP over a socks5 proxy, but thats as far as I ever got...

comment utorrent connectivity: Router drops packets
While I'm not 100% positive this was the reason, I've indeed disabled the UDP flood protection on the router, and DHT seems to work 'better' now. 'Better' in quotes as I'm not even sure how to quantify that ;-)

I use a Torguard Socks5 Proxy on Port 1080, uTorrent listening port should be 48958. Otherwise I'm using SSH and RDP to connect to servers, as well as Teamviewer. A recent malware scan was negative.

comment MS Word 2010: Vertical line to paragraph
I understand now what your idea is, and I clarified my question. I'm looking for one line, that logically 'encloses' the other paragraphs. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Thanks, lists sound like a great idea! How exactly would you get the 'embedded' paragraphs to have two bars on the side though? Btw. I appreciate your input on the computer scanning of CVs, I haven't thought about that yet :)

comment Improve display of whitespace on notepad++
I'd like to add that the second method actually increases whitespace symbols permanently, so there's no need to run the macro every time you open it. For me that's great! (No idea about the first one though)

thanks, I finally got it to work! While I couldn't test the first method (no python at work), the second one works. What stumped me at first - it's explained in the thread you linked - is that npp rewrites shortcuts.xml when closing. Go figure... Thanks!

comment Why does Windows 7 only lock the computer upon stopping the screensaver?
How is this a question asking for an opinion? "What are the reasons for ...?" "The reasons are a, b, c" doesn't really strike me as opinion...

comment VBA + Polymorphism: Override worksheet functions from 3rd party
Yeah, I'd do if I could... unfortunately, formulas must not be touched (and cannot be, as there are literally thousands of formulas in dozens of workbooks with dozens of sheets.) Wait... I'd not use excel for this in the first place :D

comment XMBC is DLNA or UPNP
XBMC provides a DLNA Server, that means if it runs on your computer, a DLNA-capable TV that is in the same network can browse and stream your media library. My Samsung SmartTV does this via Sources->Media Server (which is only shown if a media server is present and running)

comment Public WiFi access - block router IP to guests
Indeed, physical access complicates security. Is there any option to turn off this functionality? If putting the router in a secure location is not an option, I would consider buying a new one. Depending on your guests, may a little duct tape possibly enough?
