Uhm I have that value in the registry but Explorer/FileOpenSave dialogs sometimes still show icons instead of the details view!?

@Underyx Sorry I confused application names: I was talking about SnagIt, which is a screen capture utility. ACDSee is a tool to manage images of all kinds. I shouldn't post before 5 a.m.

Doktoro Reichard made a good suggestion. You could also try to use a screen capture utility that supports automatic scrolling of screen elements, for example ACDSee supports such captures. Just select an area of the screen that should be captured and the scrollbar that moves the content of that area.

Thanks Gullu, this works very well! Just a side note: PtrSafe apparently isn't supported in Office 2007.

No, sorry. But as far as I know you can use IsoBuster without registering. Some features might be disabled though.

comment In Windows 7, can an optical drive be made “Drive A:” ?
Games and software in general store path information in the Windows registry. If you move the game/application to another drive or path then you can manually edit these locations in the registry. There are also various tools that find wrong paths, e.g. Registry First Aid.
