Thank you for the reply! I dont have access to the system I used at the time but it was a PS/2 keyboard, not a USB one.

Just checked, my PC does use UEFI. How does this change things?

I'm not completely sure if I have uefi. I'll have to check. It's a pretty modern laptop. Asus. 2 months old. I'll confirm first thing tomorrow morning.

owncloud requires that i set up a server seperately, that requires technical knowledge, and though i have it, is not what i need.

There's no listing for it in the startup applications. Application settings dont show any option either.

comment How do I configure my ASUS Router RT-N53 to point to one of my computers
I wouldn't be so sure of that. I had a dynamic ip which used to change every hour. 5 minutes is probably still small for a home-grade setup, but it is definitely a noticeable one.

That wouldn't work unless he installs the no-ip client, and being a user of no-ip myself(with a static ip) id have to say that it takes 5 minutes for changes to propagate to servers, which would mean that his site would be down 5 minutes every time his ip changes.

Could you please be a bit more clear? Which IP are you referring to? Local or global?
