Windows 7 installation - CD\DVD driver issue on laptop I highly doubt your Dell Studio has a DVD drive that needs a special driver. I would try to confirm that your copy of Windows 7 was downloaded without error and then try to install off a Flash Drive if you have one with at least 4GB. Ubuntu performance is bad with cryptsetup/lvm setup Might just by fluke be a bad install or the different configuration has it on a bad/slower part of the disk drive. |

Have Windows “Run” dialog run as Admin? Yea, I've noticed that that too. Ctrl+Shift+Enter never actually works for me outside of the Start Menu and even then, its not because its in the search box, but because by default it selects the first thing on the list. |
