Professional Delphi Programmer and Heavy Metal Drummer from Germany.

Started programming on a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k in 1983. Moved on via QuickBasic on the PC to TurboPascal and eventually Delphi (since 1997). Also occasionally dabble in PHP (e.g. Joomla, WordPress, MediaWiki), Python (e.g. trac or Blender) and less frequently in C#/ASP.NET (SharePoint).

Specialized in COM-Addins for MS Office (especially Outlook), client/server database-applications (MSSQL) and whatever else comes my way. Also interested/invested in version control (former mailing list moderator and contributor to the CVSGUI project - nowadays using Git).

I also enjoy doing graphics design at the level of "(slightly) advanced amateur", mostly using Open Source Tools like Gimp, Inkscape and Blender.

Almost perfect! Would be nice if the parameter dialog used the layer's current coordinates as the default values.

Also (back to topic now): Thanks for the link to the Chromium issue. I hadn't thought of searching for "jumplists" in this context so far...

Just out of interest (and probably more on-topic at english.stackexchange.com): What was the reason for the "[sic]"? I am not a native speaker and I don't mind being corrected. Except for a possibly missing comma I don't see what I did wrong there, though. "it" refers to the shortcut.

Thanks, that's a very useful resource. It almost got me there: I've now got two buttons with distinct AppUserModelIDs that allow me to launch each profile. However, the windows launched by these shortcuts still get grouped together into a single, third(!) taskbar button... From what I've understood from that article, this would have to be fixed by the Chrome developers themselves... :-/

WTF! It doesn't even work when I create an actual copy of chrome.exe ...

That definitely sounded promising. Didn't work for Chrome, though. As soon as I launched the second shortcut it got grouped again with the first one... :(

comment Can I start Outlook 2010 without a splash screen?
May I ask why you want to disable the splash screen? If it is because you think disabling it would speed up startup time you might be in for a disappointment...

Disabling the splash screen (if it were possible) will not speed up Outlook startup! It is displayed while Outlook is starting up in the background so you don't wonder why nothing happens when you click the shortcut. If your Outlook startup is taking a long time, try to find out why it is taking so long. If you look around on the internets you will find that a number of people have been happier after disabling the Instant Messaging option.
