My bad. It seems to run the echo and sleep, but pavucontrol is nowhere to be seen. urxvtc -e bash -c "echo hello!; sleep 3; nohup pavucontrol &"

Using the simpler test commands, I tried adding nohup pavucontrol & to the end, resulting in urxvtc -e bash -c "echo hello!; sleep 3; nohup pavucontrol &;". Unfortunately, this makes the entire command fail to do anything. It seems to quickly open the terminal window which closes immediately without even running sleep 3.

comment How do I make the Windows low memory warning less sensitive?
I know it goes to pagefile because it sounds like a hurricane when pagefile is enabled with constant writes to the disk. Also I didn't say 66%, I said 10 gigs free, which in my case, is 37% used. Also, I just started using arch instead. It's no longer used for gaming, and with the pagefile disabled, it works great as a silent server machine, and I hardly ever go above 6GB of ram used so I don't need a pagefile.

Your answer is about as useful to me as suggesting I buy a new computer. If you don't want to answer what I'm actually asking, I don't really want your answer at all. Enabling the pagefile is NOT an option, as I've said many times. I would rather get a million errors and actually be able to sleep at night than to have a roar come from my computer case but be error free.

That's because you have the pagefile enabled. My question is about how to mitigate the error message (which is obviously incorrect considering how much ram I have left) without enaabling the pagefile. In case you didn't get that, enabling the pagefile is not an option.

That's a shame.

You're missing the point. I'm asking how to prevent the error without turning on the pagefile.
