comment Customizing Google Chrome's bookmarks bar
Your initial post had been nominated for closing due to subjectivity and lack of a proper question. I edited it in attempt to remove the subjective slant and emphasize the technological questions without the opinions. A clearly worded question without opinions and bias can help you get better answers. Best of luck finding a solution to your problems.

revised Customizing Google Chrome's bookmarks bar
Post was highly subjective, argumentative, and ostensibly not a question. Rephrased to be more question-like, removed subjectivity, and clarified questions

comment Set Microsoft Word template to always save documents based on it to a certain location
This looks quite promising; I've experimented with it a bit and it seems to partially work. I'm curious as to the necessity of the select statement; it seems unnecessary if you specify the setting in each template. Is there a way to set the save location to be the same directory as the template is saved in, rather than hard-coding a path?

+1, I was going to suggest the same thing - symbolic links sound like the optimal solution here.

comment Reminding user to complete particular task(s) in Windows 7 before PC shuts down?
It would be better to use a VBscript, since those can create messages. I'll edit my post to include an example.

comment How do I keep Windows (Vista) boot manager from automatically coming up when booting up computer
Could you clarify what you mean by "the boot manager coming up"? What options are being displayed by the boot manager? Is it prompting you to go into safe mode, or displaying multiple OSes, or what?

Depending on what you're trying to do, this might be more appropriate for Stack Overflow, as it could involve extensive programming. Once we find out more about your exact situation, we may want to consider moving it to Stack Overflow.
