Does PPSX works on any PC or do I have to install something? To clarify Mehper's answer: PPSX is the "presentation" extension, meaning the file will open directly as a slideshow, rather than for editing. The content and file format are identical to a PPSX, it just gets handled differently when opened. Any computer with PowerPoint 2007 or newer, or with the converter for Office 2000/2003, or with PowerPoint Viewer 2007, should work fine. |

Dual display from DisplayPort OEMs can decide whether to include a VGA, DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort connector, or a combination thereof. However, while the chipset supports outputting to both DVI and DP at the same time, that does not mean that all computers with that chipset will have both ports; this particular computer likely doesn't. |

How to force Windows to think the hard disk drive is smaller than it is? @MainMa - that depends. Server motherboards can be much more expensive, so if it is server hardware, that might not be practical. Also, computers from big OEMs like Dell and HP don't always follow the standards for sizes, ports, etc. especially in an old computer. Good suggestion, but may not be practical in all situations. |

What is a good Windows program for making slideshows? (Like Powerpoint) To whoever voted this down: please comment when downvoting to provide constructive feedback. This looks like a fine option to me - perhaps not as friendly in terms of a GUI, but valid presentation software. |

How to make a good PDF résumé without purchasing Adobe Acrobat? Exactly what I was going to say. For Office 2007, you need to download the PDF export package separately. Word 2010 (as of the beta) has it built in. microsoft.com/downloads/… |

how does id, groups, work? What operating system are you using? Is this behavior something you've seen before, or something which just started happening? Do you think it's possible that somebody has tinkered with your system without you noticing? The "I have no name!" thing seems a bit fishy. |
