comment Increase MacBook Pro's screen resolution or zoom out past largest res
Might there be a better VNC client that would let you pan around? I know that in LogMeIn you can set it to either scale (zoom out) or you can zoom in all the way and pan around.

comment Windows 7's Windows Virtual PC - How to run VM in multiple monitors?
I just checked and confirmed: there is no way to do it in Virtual PC. Using VMWare would be the best solution if you want to avoid RDP.

Thanks, Tom. I didn't notice your answer until after I had already posted mine, otherwise I would've just edited yours. Thanks for the support; I'll add a link to Junction Link Magic in my answer.

comment Will VMWare perform better on a 4 core CPU?
Your original question was off-topic per the SuperUser FAQ, which explicitly states that SuperUser is not for buying recommendations. However, I think your question is a good one and am curious myself, so rather than voting to close it, I edited it to be more general about the performance differences between a quad and dual core processor in virtualization, rather than just an individual buying recommendation. This should keep it from being closed as off-topic, while still getting you the information you need. :)

comment Wireless Network: How Secure?
I'm not an Apple/iOS platform developer, so I don't know any of the specifics, but it seems like there are products out there which use the charging/USB connector to do more than just charge and sync with the computer - I've seen credit card readers and other devices attached through that port. It would take some hardware development, but is that a potentially viable path to look into?

comment Windows crashing
What is the specific error causing the bluescreen? It is possible that it's related to this problem; for example, if you are getting BSODs from bad video drivers, that might indicate that you have a larger problem with your video drivers which could be causing this as well.

@imotama, nice answer! I've heard about this GV desktop app which will probably never be released, and it makes me very sad. :(
