I like working with computers, but the outside world is more fun!

I am a Community Moderator ♦ for Super User, appointed following the 2011 Moderator Elections.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding edits or moderator actions I have taken, or anything else, please comment or flag the post in question, or email me at stackexchange (AT) nathanhinkle (DOT) com.

I also fail to see how you can claim to be addicted to the site with so little activity. Each Stack Exchange site, while related, is a separate community. You appear to have very little involvement with Super User to date, and I don't see evidence that you'd be qualified to handle moderation on a site you've hardly used.

"I hope that participation in Super User will have the same effect of bringing it back to life and creating more lasting members to the community." -- Are you implying that Super User is presently dead? You make a lot of allusions to somehow lifting the site up, but make no mention of what you think is wrong with the site now and what you'd do to change that.

@mdpc that very well may be, but at first glance your participation appears far lower than many of the other candidates. If you've made a lot of valuable "quiet" contributions, you need to mention that in your nomination or else you won't appear qualified.

@Mokubai I think you could be successful as a moderator, but the time commitment is a concern. The reason we're holding this election is largely because many members of the existing moderator team haven't had as much time to devote to moderation. It would be best for our newly elected mods to be people who will have the time to commit to the position.

The abbreviation that your username stands for seems fitting for your flagging history.

@Richie086 do you have any experience to back up this claim? It looks like you have very few flags and almost no meta participation. What qualifications do you have that would lead someone to vote for you versus one of the more seemingly experienced candidates?

comment Is ReactOS or WINE the more stable replacement for Windows XP?
ReactOS is in alpha. Windows XP is a mature (albeit ancient) product. I'd vote for upgrading your hardware at this point, or trying Linux, but given the choice between the two, I see little point in using ReactOS.

Besides quashing noobs, is there any reason behind your sudden interest in Super User? It seems that you have relatively little prior activity on the site.

Allquixotic is also one of our most active Meta users. He's made many good contributions to the site.

@ElliottFrisch even with a print server you'd still need some kind of driver. It's a tricky situation.

Also I'm confused - why not keep the 1 stick of 4GB RAM and get a second 2GB stick?
