Probably my external HD had changed filesystem when I used it on Linux If you really think that Ubuntu formatted the partition, try installing an ext2 file system driver for Windows - fs-driver.org or sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd will do the trick of mounting the drive in Windows. If however the drive is corrupted these will not help you - a Linux boot CD and Dennis' link is your best bet. |

How can I sync ALL of my files between my Macs in the background? Will your Macs all be part of the same network all the time, or will you use some separately (such as a mobile laptop computer) and then bring them back and want any changes to sync? If it's the former, you could replace the entire /Users directory with a link to a network share on each computer, and they would all be working off the same copy (you want a fast NAS for this). If the latter, then unfortunately I don't know of any sync tools that use push when a file changes, but another alternative is to use rsync on a scheduled task (cron) to sync the files between computers over the network. |

How do I block orkut.com on a shared PC? Could you provide more information about the type of computer you are running? Is it Windows, Linux, or Mac? Do you want to restrict access completely or allow access but limit it in some way? |
