comment How is media player playing midi .mid files?
brainmaster.com/kb/entry/334 I use this as a work around. If you don't want to use it, this is the change: "The registry value MidiOutId in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\d evenum\{4EFE2452-168A-11D1-BC76-00C04FB9453B}\Default MidiOut Device\ needs to be set to the MidiOutId (DWORD) of the device you want. All your devices will have their own keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\d evenum\{4EFE2452-168A-11D1-BC76-00C04FB9453B}. Find the device you want and check its MidiOutId and put that value in the Default MidiOut Device\MidiOutId value."

Do these steps work? Beyond just a name, you need to tell it which partition and where to load out of.

comment Editor of txt files for Windows with syntax highlight and foldable/collapsible sections for Markdown
A really neat trick is I have this Markdown viewer for Mac called Marked and when I'm editing Markdown in Sublime, I can just 'Build' and it will preview what I'm working on in Marked.

From what people are reporting, it may just work if you reenable Kaspersky. Past that, I'd try possibly removing and reinstalling Kaspersky. Someone else suggested adding exceptions for sites you use here. Hope that helps.

comment How to find which hard drive represents each drive letter?
A linux boot CD and the disk formatting tool of your choice (i like cfdisk) should be able to tell you what partitions are on what disks and also give you a clue as to the partition types and if they're set bootable or not. That's the only thing I think would help you at this point. Just don't write any changes ;)
