comment Best way to ensure the contents of a directory is always owned by Apache
If all the directories are 2775, and the umask of all the people/processes writing to the directory is 0002, than ever file will be owned by the group, and group writeable.

Why does apache need ownership? Just put apache in a group that will have write access to the required directory, and set group id bit on the directories (not the sticky bit). So 2775 for the directory apache needs write access to.

Do you still have access to the original system? Showing us the partition table from the perspective of the old system may be useful.

comment DHCP Requests leaking through VPN
Ah, you have a challenging problem then. I am not sure what to suggest. DHCP is probably mostly working for you, because DHCP clients will usually just accept the fastest reply, which will usually be from the physically closest DHCP server.

If you setup your routes properly. A tun network is the better solution, it just is a bit more complicated. The complicating factor, is that I am not sure if you can do it with tomato. I am completely certain that the underlying OpenVPN supports it though. You would also need to change your network a bit, so that the remote sites are on separate subnets.

comment How do I keep my data from being destroyed on my web server if a hard drive fails?
Backups. Backups in many locations. At least one separate from the main system. Yes it isn't free. But if your data is valuable you need to pay to protect it.

comment Shell Script excuted fail in Linux at command
Oh, at is a tool that lets you run your command at some later point in time. Mostly people use cron instead, but at is still installed by default on lots of distros. I was assuming the OP was just doing something like echo "scriptpath" | at {time}, but maybe not.

Look closer at his error. It is Command not found. You don't get a command not found error when trying to save a string to a variable. Unfortunately the OP's formatting question formatting was sorta messed up, so I can't say this with 100% certainty, but sure seems very likely to me that he has backticks instead of quotes.

comment How to clone a floppy boot disk to a hard drive and make it bootable?
You can clone a floppy to another floppy, and you could clone a floppy to a HD, just not sure it would actually boot and run. If you wanted to test just boot a Linux system and do something like dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/dev/hda replacing /dev/fd0 and /dev/hda with the block devices for your floppy and hard drive.
