I see the sample problem with the ClearType wizard—it looks like it's going to set it to whole pixel antialiasing, but then everything pops back to sub-pixel. Argh.

Moshe - It's hard to say whether you need 16GB, or just 8GB. It really depends on how much you need. That said, you can never have too much RAM.
