Mount points should be created beforehand, slightly edited according section. Also added variant of fstab mount string, when password is not needed.

comment How to setup an external monitor on a Surface Pro 3 (with docking station)?
@Cristoph, this method is not really good, as far as its author suggest to decrease SP3 resolution to 1080x720. This might work for people not using their SP3 on-the-go, but I believe there are not much of them. When SP3 get undocked, you will need to restore native resolution back, which is certainly not convenient.

@Christoph, this warning really confuses users and actually it means nothing, because different scaling levels cannot be applied to each monitor and more to say, you cannot setup different monitors separately. There is simply just one setup window for all.

comment Fastest way to convert an ext4 formatted disk to LVM with ext4 on it?
One caveat should be mentioned regarding blocks: it can convert regular volume to the LVM one, but if this volume was bootable, the great chance it will not boot after the procedure, if you will not do some GRUB reinstallation procedures manually. Should be mentioned in man or something, I believe.

The question isn't about a resolution problem, but about a scaling problem.

@DanielB but what stops Microsoft from allowing a user to set up individual scaling for individual monitors? When the window travels across screens, it just need to be re-rendered once. I cannot see a problem here and hopefully Windows 10 will provide some kind of functionality like that.

@TimPietzcker, I'm in the same boat with you and I ended up keeping small size both for external displays in docked SP3's state and while on-the-go. Agreed with you, this is stupid.

@TimPietzcker, unfortunately not, you can't set the scaling on a per monitor basis. At least with standard Windows tools. But actually, using small 12'' Surface Pro 3 display along the desktop monitor in my opinion is not really convenient. Why not grab additional desktop monitor, or even two? You knew that this thing is capable of support of 3 external displays?

comment Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Wake-on-LAN
This is not my particular problem, this is a standard Surface Pro 3 behavior. I've performed all the standard procedures to make WoL work and nothing actually worked. It looks like Microsoft just disabled this functionality for their accessories. There is no UEFI-related options in SP3. Instead of focusing on me and asking me questions, the problem should be approached as a common problem, assuming that a general power user have done basic set up (UEFI check/messing around with powercfg options etc.) Answers from no-SP3 owners are not really welcome to be honest, because they are too generic.
