Ah I see. You want to have selecting one change the default instead of having a single default for new vs reply?

comment Are there any motherboards out there that will let me install 5-6 GPU cards?
NewEgg will let you search by PCI Express slots. Something like newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157284 might serve your needs.

comment How to execute a script on sleep, hibernate, resume, and shutdown
Bingo. I have a task scheduled that runs SyncToyCmd.exe -R daily, so it should work fine with the other triggers, too.

comment Why does my sytem only uses 3.2GB of my 4GM RAM?
We're going to need a lot more information to help you -- at the very least, motherboard make/model/bios version.

comment When to use laptop battery?
I think it's more about the constant heat. Keeping the battery constantly charged & hot isn't good for the battery, so it helps to unplug it if you're just going to stay plugged into the wall. I spent a year with my laptop plugged into the wall with the battery in, and my battery life was really pitiful even with a low number of charge cycles compared to another laptop that I regularly removed the battery from when not needed.

comment Can I use my modem's ethernet and USB simultaneously, to connect two computers?
Based on context, I think Nick meant to say "if you were to hook two PCs into the modem".

comment Which PSU should one chose? The biggest is the best?
Note that the efficiency (80%") varies with load, which is why a 1kW PSU with a low-end computer is a bad idea -- it won't be efficient, and it will be expensive. You generally want your PSU sized to be at 50-80% load, so a ~450W PSU is pretty good for most common builds.

comment Why can't my Windows Home Server see the internet?
Since you've got two routers in the way, you might be able to let uPnP configure the wireless router and manually set up port forwarding from the ADSL router. But the problem is having two routers in a row -- can you set the wireless router to act as an 'access point' instead of a router? That would make it essentially a switch, and the ADSL router would then be 'directly' connected to WHS.

comment What downloading speed i should expect?
In general, they don't say Megabytes. If you look on the website linked, it says "1Mbps". Most consumers simply don't pay attention to Mbps vs MBps.

Sweet, I didn't even know there was a 2.1. It's definitely much faster than 2.0.

A wired, optical Intellimouse Explorer with a mousepad, both of which I've been using forever and had no screensaver problems in Vista.. I guess it can't hurt to give it a try.

comment How do I change the default sort order on Windows Explorer and the File Dialogs
@Ivo: Happens all the time when you're "stuck" and then figure something out, in my experience.
