Why must you use the command line? What's wrong with using a rename program; there are many that do exactly what you are asking for.

Thanks for the link, but it would be better to also post a summary of the answer here as links can break.

comment What program can I use to add album art to music?
@Memor-X, I changed my link to a page of Windows ID3 editors. As for disconnecting from the Internet for security... I bet the Iranians thought that too.

@Doktoro, Apple devices actually use ID3 metadata for artwork, which is embedded in the .mp3 or AAC music file.

comment How to send a customised multi-part email
I didn't downvote you, but I don't understand what you want; what does “to customise” HTML mean? Nor can I think of any “trusted third party SMTP host” that would relay email; that’s kinda why they are “trusted”.

comment How to make just one text column be unquoted in final CSV?
Why don't you want the phone numbers to be quoted? So you can store them as numbers? As you found out yourself, that doesn't work. What about extensions? International numbers also have significant '+' symbols. They're text, store them as text.

comment ́╗┐' is not recognized as an internal or external command
I wouldn't say BOMs are "very useless" in UTF-8; though they are in this particular case. Many applications use them to determine the text actually is UTF-8 and not another encoding.

comment Why would a compiled and linked high-level language execute slower than Assembly/machine code?
It is not true that a well-written assembly program will not have "boilerplate" code, like saving registers or stack state. Many assembly APIs allow subroutines and macros to use registers, so a caller must save them. Also, most assembly APIs require prologues to set up a consistent state.

comment Can't open an .exe app made in c# with Visual Studio
How does your friend "try to open" the .exe? He says "nothing happens" but then says he "forced it to run"; those two statements contradict each other. Find out what your friend is doing before wasting more time on this.

comment Is it possible to migrate a Windows installation to another machine or Parallels?
Be aware that some software is device-specific and will not work if it is simply copied from one machine to another. Watch out for applications that require specific drivers or come packaged with hardware.
