I'm just someone who likes to help. If you're a fan of Flame Warriors, I'm Eagle Scout(coincidentally, I also hit Eagle in Boy Scouts. I know about Linux, but right now I'm kind of Red Hat-centric. I'm available for work in the Omaha, NE area. My profile at Server Fault has a good deal of what I know; again, I like to help people, and will offer what knowledge I have. What was freely given to me, I shall freely give. No matter how much you give away, you still have the same amount of knowledge.

comment How do I create several screen sessions on startup in Linux?
For the most part they're equivalent. The part where they differ is precisely when they run the command. /etc/rc.d/rc.local is the last item to run, after all the other services have started. You'll want to check your manpage for when @reboot runs.

Nothing special about iptables here, so I removed that flag.

comment Can't connect to svnserve on localhost - connection actively refused
Is svnserve running? Netstat -anp tcp will show this; If there is a line for '3690 LISTENING', then subversion is running.

comment no websites loading using iptables nat
Then you might want to set some routs and see if those will work.

comment ls-command: how to display the file size in megabytes?
+1 for the man pages(+5 if I could!). They are a priceless resource when you don't know how to do something with a particular command.

comment Can my cable modem send a bad signal causing my server to restart?
There are several free antivirus programs out there for Windows. I just got done with a contract position where AV removal was a big thing of mine, and we used AVG Free across the board. Or you could check SU.com for free AV programs: superuser.com/questions/2/free-antivirus-solutions-for-windows

Cross-posting is not a good idea anywhere on the web.
