I am a PhD candidate of Software Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. My focus is on usability of API documentation and on memory and knowledge sharing in collaborative development. I am also very interested in CS education. I currently work as a software engineer at a company that develops trading platforms.

If you are a Java developer using Eclipse, check out the tool I am working on: http://emoose.cs.cmu.edu

I'm not sure that you would find an off-the-shelf tool that can handle all the constraints. It may take less time to write your own than to modify or adapt an existing tool.

comment What tool would be best to synchronize a directory on multiple Linux machines?

Unfortunately it's proprietary stuff so I can't take it outside the firewall or host on third-party.

comment Is two-finger scrolling on a trackpad possible on a PC laptop?
This is only in newer MacBooks. My old MBP (a G4) doesn't support any of those. Newer macbooks (unibodies) already support four fingers. It's a hardware issue, not just software.
