comment In OS X is there a way to assign an application window to a specific monitor?
Stay looked promising but it can't handle X11 applications launched from remote machine =(

comment Can diskutil encrypt already existing primary boot partition on OS X Lion?
I was able to run "diskutil cs convert disk0s2 -passphrase XXX" on the volume Lion was installed, no errors and during the boot, i was presented a prompt asking for harddisk password so basicly everything what ZaB has said so far contradicts my findings.

comment How to install Ruby 1.9.2 and Rails 3 on Ubuntu 10.10?
if you installed ruby via apt-get, it definetly doesnt install itself into /usr/local .. you propably have installed ruby to /usr/local by some other means and your $PATH has /usr/local/bin before /usr/bin. Try: "/usr/bin/ruby -v" and "/usr/local/bin/ruby -v" and check the versions..

comment How to use ati's fglrx drivers on Fedora 11
And note, while this maybe working solutions, it doesnt really help in my case since my card (X800/R420) is deprecated in latest drivers so i guess i need to make my hard dirty and use F10's Xorg and possibly a kernel too in F11 to make things work
