Hi! I've studied cryptography at University of Aarhus in Denmark. I now like in Zurich, Switzerland. I mostly work with Python, but also like functional languages like Haskell a lot. I became involved in the Mercurial project in 2008. I work at Rackspace in Zurich since 2013.

You can follow me on Google Plus if you want to see what I'm up to or take a look at my CV if you want to know what I've worked with.

Yes, exactly, hg incoming shows what the next hg pull would bring down (and hg outgoing shows what hg push would send).

Notice the big difference between comparing files and looking at changesets. The hg outgoing command is showing you changesets, and will thus by definition only care about committed files.

comment Mercurial What is Wrong with this command?
@PiotrDobrogost: It's a little implicit now, yes. Maybe you could submit a patch with better help strings for the options? Please see mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/ContributingChanges.

I'm a Linux user and there I agree completely — but I just learned that the Terminal app in Mac OS will save the scrollback buffer when you quit it.

comment How to make Mercurial find updated version of Python?
Python 2.6 is required to check the SSL certificates. I'm a bit surprised it aborts, but you can try with hg push --insecure to let Mercurial know that you cannot verify the certificates with your Python. I think you can also configure a host fingerprint, see the wiki page.

You only need Python 2.4 to run any version of Mercurial, even Mercurial 2.1. Are you trying to use Python 2.6 to get better support for verifying SSL certificates?
