I'm an independent contractor specializing in Perl, automated testing and software engineering training. @Flup Tried that. Nothing appears to be obviously on fire but I'm no strace expert. The only time the target file is mentioned is 3399 execve("/bin/bash", ["bash", "-c", "scp -t -- ~/tmp/"], [/* 8 vars */]) = 0
