I'm running Symantec AntiVirus at work, what is the equivalent Norton version? Thanks, I use that at home and I like it. However that's not what I'm asking about in this question so I'd rather keep on-topic :) |

Should a disconnected CPU fan spin freely if I spin it with my finger? As an aside, some say that using a vacuum cleaner isn't a good idea - you could accidentally suck up something important, like jumpers. Blowing is safer. Personally I use a vacuum and air can combo. |

Are my 5.25" floppies dead? A metal cover over the read/write head had falled off (the glue failed over time). Unfortunately I only realised this once I took the cover off. It's probably altered the alignment or something. Yea, I need to get a new drive :) |

Are my 5.25" floppies dead? +1 A good long answer but you've drifted away from my original question in a few places. I'm not using MS-DOS. |

Has anyone managed to find a Windows 7 RC x64 compatible driver for the Sony Firmware Extension Parser (SFEP) on the Sony Vaio VGN-NS20S/S? I have tried that, it doesn't find anything. Windows does provide a link to a Sony website allegedly having suitable drivers but it doesn't have my model or country listed. I think the VGN-NS20S/S is UK/Europe specific and the site is US and Brazil only. |
