Data warehouse contractor in London. Mostly I work with SQL Server on Insurance clients. I've proposed a business intelligence site on Area 51, which has now been merged into dba.stackexchange.com.

comment HP Z210 SFF: two different video cards produce no Displayport output when installed
The second line of the question states that the cards are being tested in Slot 2. It's quite clearly labelled on the motherboard.

Both of the cards are HP branded - a Quadro FX380LP and a Quadro 600. Both fit within the power envelope of the slot.

Yes. That is the correct slot.

@DaveRook - Comes with the machine. No idea who the OEM is.

@DaveRook - I can try the cards in another computer next weekend. However it's worth noting that the machine recognises the cards enough to disable the on-board video if they are inserted.

@DaveRook - Slot 2 is the PCIe-x16 slot that would normally take the graphics card. According to the quickspecs a Quadro FX380 should use 32 watts and a Quadro 600 should use 40. According to the docs they don't need external power and there is no lead from the power supply to power a graphics card.
