FTP client on windows that save session password in encrypted text I had a look at Filezilla's bug tracker and there has been a lot of argument about this. The Filezilla coders argue that there's no point as your OS should guard all your passwords for you. Encrypting them once your machine has a keylogger installed makes no difference. is.gd/6RdTl |

Tell aptitude to ignore broken package Weird. It should be there. Try doing "cd /var/lib/dpkg" and then "sudo nano status". |

Most suitable Linux distro for a ~2003 laptop I agree on the Ubuntu advice. I'd try to upgrade your RAM if possible when running any Linux - 1GB is cheap and will make a big difference. |

2nd/3rd version of wireless network appears I use a Buffalo router running Tomato, but I think this is more of a problem with the wireless clients, not the server. |

Can't get IP address from range expander on SOME devices Maybe the repeater is too far from the main router, so lower power devices can't detect the signal? Can they connect to the main router's wireless? (Do you like the Palm Pre BTW?) |

How to use Notepad++ on Redhat? You should be able to check the Redhat version by looking through your system application menus to find an About screen. It's there, but it will take some hunting. |

How to use Notepad++ on Redhat? Linux handles software installations differently from Windows. Instead of downloading .exe files and installing them directly, Linux centralises software installations in a package manager. Redhat should have an "add/remove software" option in the menus. Use that to find an advanced text editor or wine. Which version of Redhat are you on? |
