comment Why does IPv6 use 128 bit addressing?
@ppumkin, obviously I wasn't clear in my question. 2.6 billion should indeed be enough, but they decided to go much much higher than that.

@Moab, 64 would have been reasonable. Instead they chose 128???

comment Sort files in a directory
Using Windows explorer, select the last file then shift-click on the first file. This selects them in the proper order for the copy/move.

comment Recovering data from external hard drive with hard drive enclosure
Suggestions? Yeah, stop spilling water on your hard drive! Seriously, the enclosure doesn't do much - why do you think the drive itself is not affected?

comment DVD filenames contain quote marks; can't copy to Windows machine
@TonyR, I've updated the example. Because your filename has spaces in it, you need to put quotes around the whole thing.

comment What are the hidden files on my new SD card?
Thanks for the answer. I think I tried dir /a originally but forgot to include that in the question; I did it again just to be sure, and didn't get anything. I tried RootkitRevealer as well, and got a little scared when it failed to run; then I saw that it was only XP/2003 and I'm running 64-bit Windows 7.

comment What does it mean to have a line spacing multiple at 1.15?
@Pacerier, the line spacing is not always the same as the font size. It will vary based on the font that is selected.

comment How many files can you put in a Windows folder without a noticable performance degradation?
32767 is a special number because it's the maximum that representation in a 16-bit signed value; "about 30000" is close enough.
