Does an antivirus also scan for viruses targetting other OSes other than the one it runs on? @MSalters Drivers and AutoRun aside, the thumb drive could still contain an infected executable even if it isn't executed automatically. I imagine the IT department would want to know if there was such a program to prevent the user from explicitly running it, whether maliciously or accidentally. |

port 80 was blocked Kombuwa, "Incoming" usually means connections from the Internet to your computer, like people accessing a web server running on your computer. "Outgoing" means connections from your computer to the Internet, like surfing the web or downloading a file -- so gorilla is talking about incoming port 80. |

Stop Ubuntu From Automatically Updating the Time @Jeffrey, I'm not sure; I've never tried to configure them. I would have to refer to the VirtualBox documentation. @Yar, What version of VirtualBox are you running? The name may have changed (I verified my answer against 3.1.0) since previous versions. Double-check the documentation for your VBox version. |

Stop Ubuntu From Automatically Updating the Time @Yar, I'm not sure it goes through the virtual network connection on the guest. It probably gets the hosts' system clock value through the VirtualBox process. |
