I am a self-entitled 'technology enthusiast', but accept that in some areas my knowledge is pitiful (electronics). I'm not sure I qualify for the power user moniker, yet, but I know that participating here is helping.
I'm a stickler for good grammar, so you may notice a lot of my posts undergo editing. I've successfully refrained from editing the posts of others, for now.
From a hardware perspective, my experience comprises of technician level stuff. From a software perspective, I know my way round Windows though I've used *buntu for the past five years. I'd like to think I can offer assistance with simple command line queries and OS installations.
I'm not a programmer though I've dabbled with R for academic purposes and VBA for work related projects
Ambitions: set up Arch Linux on my spare laptop, dabble a bit more on the programming side (maybe python, bash script, possibly some web development languages) and complete my MSc dissertation.
Comments, queries and follow-ups are welcome on anything I've posted. My contributions will hopefully serve as 'money in the bank' when inevitably I start asking a few questions of my own.
